ATTENTION HO-CHUNK MEMBERS:
The Ho-Chunk Nation is conducting a comprehensive census of
Ho-Chunk members that will result in up-to-date information the
Nation can use to better serve the membership. The data collected
by the census will be used to form decisions concerning strategic
planning and program design as well as strengthening grant
applications. Beginning December 17th, 2015, all adult members may
complete the questionnaire, either online or the paper version.
Please complete and return the census questionnaire as soon as you
receive it (and encourage your relatives to do the same!) enabling
the Nation to start compiling the data as soon as possible. If you
do not complete the questionnaire, you will be contacted by
telephone and may be visited in person by census field staff.
There is still time to make a difference!
Paper surveys of the Census were mailed on Friday, March 4, 2016
to all members whom haven't completed their census online.
Phone surveys of the Census started on Wednesday, April 20,
2016 to all members whom haven't completed their cenus online or
mailed in their paper form.
Door-to-door surveys of the Census will begin in
July for the 14 county service area of the Nation to
follow up with households that haven't completed their
The online survey will remain available for the duration of the
Census Project and Wisconsin District residents may receive a knock
at the door in the near future.
Your support and participation are vital to make the Census a
success. The data will provide value to the Nation in terms of
planning and management.
