The philosophy of the Ho-Chunk Nation Domestic Abuse Program is that Ho-Chunk Tribal members deserve to live in a non-violent and non-threatening environment. We have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. The Ho-Chunk Nation Domestic Abuse Program is committed to encouraging a zero-tolerance from abuse of any kind.
We are dedicated to the empowerment of survivors and their children, to feel safe wthin their homes and to lead a healthy lifestyle.
We support efforts to eliminate violence by increasing community awareness and promote safe home, workplace and our communities.
We offer support services to domestic abuse victims and their familes.
The program goals focus on intervention and prevention of domestic abuse and sexual assault within Native American communities by providing the following services:
- Supportive services for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault
- Supportive services for the children
- Supportive services for the whole family
